With a desire to contribute his many years of experience to the wellbeing of the environment, company founder, Nick Kelly began establishing Western Land Services – Originally a small home-based land management business. Focusing on the negative environmental impacts of invasive plants species, Nick pursued the weed control market and began servicing farmers, in the small community of Ballan. That was more than 10 years ago.

Western Land Services has since grown from a humble backyard operation, to a very reputable award winning company. We have earned an outstanding reputation for reliability, expertise in the field, efficiency, professionalism, attention to detail, quality work and competitive prices.

Our services include an array of environmental management and control solutions including pest, plant and vermin removal and control, ground, water and aerial services, sensitive zone management and maintenance, environmental earthworks including stump removal and excavation, GIS mapping, land management planning and application, erosion control, native grassland, wetland, riperian and forest management, revegetation services, turf management, landscaping, fencing, large scale tree removal projects, vegetation management, tree surgery/ pruning or felling, land care and maintenance.

Today, the company is co-owned and operated with Steve Hammond, and has enjoyed the advantages of shared partnership for over 4 years. We have relocated to a larger, more centralised base of operations and offer flexible, tailored services to meet the requirements of every client, whether small, one-off contracts or long-term fixed programs covering many years.

Western Land Services have a fleet of specialized vehicles, each individually fitted, to suit every environmental challenge and invest heavily in our technicians, who each receive ongoing training through certified education institutes, to give you confidence and absolute peace of mind, when dealing with our company. Our large team of qualified personnel, are experts in the identification, control and management of environmental weeds, pests and vermin, and just to go that one step further, we also employ a dedicated unit of dedicated specialists, who cater specifically to Environmentally Sensitive Areas, such as high priority grasslands, wetlands and general areas of importance.
Our clientele include Local and State Government Agencies, Catchment Management and other Water Authorities. We also cater to Forest Management Authorities, large and small corporations, private landholders and community based organizations.
